Injil Yoh 14: 6-14

6. Kata Yesus kepadanya: “Akulah jalan dan kebenaran dan hidup. Tidak ada seorangpun yang datang kepada Bapa, kalau tidak melalui Aku.

7. Sekiranya kamu mengenal Aku, pasti kamu juga mengenal Bapa-Ku. Sekarang ini kamu mengenal Dia dan kamu telah melihat Dia.”

8. Kata Filipus kepada-Nya: “Tuhan, tunjukkanlah Bapa itu kepada kami, itu sudah cukup bagi kami.”

9. Kata Yesus kepadanya: “Telah sekian lama Aku bersama-sama kamu, Filipus, namun engkau tidak mengenal Aku? Barangsiapa telah melihat Aku, ia telah melihat Bapa; bagaimana engkau berkata: Tunjukkanlah Bapa itu kepada kami.

10. Tidak percayakah engkau, bahwa Aku di dalam Bapa dan Bapa di dalam Aku? Apa yang Aku katakan kepadamu, tidak Aku katakan dari diri-Ku sendiri, tetapi Bapa, yang diam di dalam Aku, Dialah yang melakukan pekerjaan-Nya.

11. Percayalah kepada-Ku, bahwa Aku di dalam Bapa dan Bapa di dalam Aku; atau setidak-tidaknya, percayalah karena pekerjaan-pekerjaan itu sendiri.

12. Aku berkata kepadamu: Sesungguhnya barangsiapa percaya kepada-Ku, ia akan melakukan juga pekerjaan-pekerjaan yang Aku lakukan, bahkan pekerjaan-pekerjaan yang lebih besar dari pada itu. Sebab Aku pergi kepada Bapa;

13. dan apa juga yang kamu minta dalam nama-Ku, Aku akan melakukannya, supaya Bapa dipermuliakan di dalam Anak.

14. Jika kamu meminta sesuatu kepada-Ku dalam nama-Ku, Aku akan melakukannya.”

Akulah Jalan dan kebenaran dan Hidup. Jika kami mengenal Aku, maka kamu juga mengenal Bapa.

                        Mengerti dan memahami Yesus secara total itu kadang-kadang membuat orang bingung tetapi juga jatuh cinta pada saat yang sama. Yesus yang mencintai orang-orang berdosa dan makan bersama mereka membingungkan orang-orang Farisi dan Ahli-Ahli Taurat namun membuat Dia dikagumi, dihormati dan dicintai di seantero negeri. Yesus yang menyembuhkan orang pada hari Sabat, dilaknat oleh mereka yang merasa diri saleh namun disukai oleh mereka yang disingkirkan dan dikucilkan dari pergaulan sosial. Yesus yang mengampuni wanita yang kedapatan berzinah, dijauhi oleh tua-tua agama namun semakin dicintai oleh si wanita karena bukan saja dosanya diampuni, namun martabatnya juga dipulihkan.

                        Ketika Yesus mengatakan bahwa ketika kamu melihat Aku, kamu melihat Bapa, Yesus mau menjelaskan bahwa cara-cara yang Allah gunakan untuk membuat manusia mengerti itu kadang-kadang nyentrik, unik dan sulit dijelaskan secara gamblang. Cara-cara Allah untuk menyentuh hati manusia, mengetuk pintu lubuk hati manusia itu selalu penuh kejutan, sulit ditebak. Cerita Yesus tentang anak yang hilang adalah sebuah contoh bagaimana Yesus menjelaskan bahwa Allah itu adalah Allah yang penuh belas kasihan yang senatiasa menanti dan menanti sampai anak-Nya yang hilang itu kembali dan menemukan bahwa Bapa yang pernah mengasihi anak yang hilang waktu dia meninggalkannya adalah Bapa yang sama dengan cinta kasih yang sama yang tetap menanti anak-anak-Nya pulang.

                        Yesus adalah wajah kasih Allah yang sesungguhnya, wajah rahmat Allah yang tidak sungkan-sungkan memberikan pengampunan tanpa batas, wajah kasih Allah yang tidak pernah segan melancarkan kritik kepada ketidakadilan dan kemunafikan. Jadi Ketika Yesus menjelaskan bahwa aku dan Bapa adalah satu, dia mau mengatakan bahwa nama kami adalah cinta kasih yang merembes dan meluas, cinta kasih yang merangkul dan memperbaiki, yang menanti dan menebus. Atau seperti kata Paus Fransiskus: Tuhan itu Cinta Kasih. Bukan teologi yang rumit. Amin.

Jn 14:6-14

Jesus said to Thomas, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, then you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” Philip said to him,  “Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip?

Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me is doing his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me,  or else, believe because of the works themselves. Amen, amen, I say to you,  whoever believes in me will do the works that I do,  and will do greater ones than these,  because I am going to the Father. And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.”

I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. If you know Me, then you also know the Father.
Understanding and comprehending Jesus in wholeness often times make people confused but at the same time fall in love in love again and again. Jesus who loved sinners and ate with them confused the Pharisees and the Scribes. His passion of embracing everyone made him be admired, respected and loved throughout the country. Jesus, who healed on the Sabbath, was cursed by those who felt self-righteous but was liked by those who were excluded and excommunicated from social relationship. Jesus who forgave a woman found on adultery, shunned by the elders of religion but be loved and appreciated more by the woman because not only that her sin was pardoned, but her dignity was also restored.
When Jesus says that when you see Me, you see the Father, Jesus wants to explain that the ways God uses to make people understand are sometimes quirky, unique and difficult to explain clearly. The way  God uses to touch the hearts of men, knocking on the human heart’s door are always full of surprises, unpredictable. Jesus’ story of the prodigal son is an example of how Jesus explained that God is a merciful God who waits and awaits until his lost son returns and finds that the Father who had loved the prodigal son when he left him is just the same Father who with the same love that keeps waiting until His children come home.
Jesus is the true face of God’s love, the face of God’s grace which freely gives unlimited forgiveness, the face of God’s love that never hesitates to criticize injustice and hypocrisy. So when Jesus explained that I and the Father are one, he would say that our name is a penetrating and widespread love, an embracing and mending love, awaiting and redeeming. Or as Pope Francis put it: God is Love. Not a complicated theology. Amen.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas, Buenos dias. Hoy es Jueves,  3 de Mayo 2018 (Dos mil dieciocho) El evangelio tomado de Juan,  Capitulo 15 (quince): 1-8). Leamos juntos este evangelio.

 Jesús le dijo: “Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida; nadie viene al Padre sino por Mí. 7 Si ustedes Me hubieran conocido, también hubieran conocido a Mi Padre; desde ahora Lo conocen y Lo han visto.”

8 “Señor, muéstranos al Padre y nos basta,” Le dijo Felipe. 9 Jesús le dijo: “¿Tanto tiempo he estado con ustedes, y todavía no Me conoces, Felipe? El que Me ha visto a Mí, ha visto al Padre. ¿Cómo dices tú: ‘Muéstranos al Padre’? 10 ¿No crees que Yo estoy en el Padre y el Padre en Mí? Las palabras que Yo les digo, no las hablo por Mi propia cuenta, sino que el Padre que mora en Mí es el que hace las[d] obras. 11 Créanme que Yo estoy en el Padre y el Padre en Mí; y si no, crean por las obras mismas.

12 En verdad les digo: el que cree en Mí, las obras que Yo hago, él las hará también; y aun mayores que éstas hará, porque Yo voy al Padre. 13 Y todo lo que pidan en Mi nombre, lo haré, para que el Padre sea glorificado en el Hijo. 14 Si Me piden algo en Mi nombre, Yo lo haré.

 

Soy el Camino y la Verdad y la Vida. Si me conocen, entonces también conocen al Padre. Comprender y aprender a Jesús en totalidad a menudo hace que la gente se confunda, pero al mismo tiempo se enamore una y otra vez. Jesús, que amaba a los pecadores y comía con ellos, confundió a los fariseos y los escribas. Su pasión de abrazar a todos hizo que fuera admirado, respetado y amado en todo el país. Jesús, que sanó en el día de reposo, fue maldecido por aquellos que se sentían farisaicos, pero a ellos que eran excluidos y excomulgados de las relaciones sociales les gustaba Jesus. Jesús que perdonó a una mujer encontrada en adulterio, rechazada por los ancianos de la religión pero amada y apreciada por la mujer porque no solo su pecado fue perdonado, sino que su dignidad también fue restaurada.

Cuando Jesús dice que cuando Me ves, ves al Padre, Jesús quiere explicar que las formas en que Dios usa para hacer entender a la gente a veces son peculiares, únicas y difíciles de explicar con claridad. La forma en que Dios usa para tocar los corazones de los hombres, llamando a la puerta del corazón humano siempre está lleno de sorpresas, impredecibles. La historia de Jesús del hijo pródigo es un ejemplo de cómo Jesús explicó que Dios es un Dios misericordioso que espera y espera hasta que su hijo perdido regrese y descubre que el Padre que había amado al hijo pródigo cuando lo dejó es el mismo Padre que con el mismo amor que sigue esperandolo hasta que su hijo perdido vuelva a casa.
Jesús es el verdadero rostro del amor de Dios, el rostro de la gracia de Dios que da gratuitamente el perdón ilimitado, el rostro del amor de Dios que nunca vacila en criticar la injusticia y la hipocresía. Entonces, cuando Jesús explicó que yo y el Padre somos uno, él diría que el nombre de Dios es un amor penetrante y extendido, un amor que abarca y repara, que espera y redime. O como lo expresó el Papa Francisco: Dios es amor. No es una teología complicada. Amén.

1. “Akulah pokok anggur yang benar dan Bapa-Kulah pengusahanya.

2. Setiap ranting pada-Ku yang tidak berbuah, dipotong-Nya dan setiap ranting yang berbuah, dibersihkan-Nya, supaya ia lebih banyak berbuah.

3. Kamu memang sudah bersih karena firman yang telah Kukatakan kepadamu.

4. Tinggallah di dalam Aku dan Aku di dalam kamu. Sama seperti ranting tidak dapat berbuah dari dirinya sendiri, kalau ia tidak tinggal pada pokok anggur, demikian juga kamu tidak berbuah, jikalau kamu tidak tinggal di dalam Aku.

5. Akulah pokok anggur dan kamulah ranting-rantingnya. Barangsiapa tinggal di dalam Aku dan Aku di dalam dia, ia berbuah banyak, sebab di luar Aku kamu tidak dapat berbuat apa-apa.

6. Barangsiapa tidak tinggal di dalam Aku, ia dibuang ke luar seperti ranting dan menjadi kering, kemudian dikumpulkan orang dan dicampakkan ke dalam api lalu dibakar.

7. Jikalau kamu tinggal di dalam Aku dan firman-Ku tinggal di dalam kamu, mintalah apa saja yang kamu kehendaki, dan kamu akan menerimanya.

8. Dalam hal inilah Bapa-Ku dipermuliakan, yaitu jika kamu berbuah banyak dan dengan demikian kamu adalah murid-murid-Ku.”

 

                        Siapa yang tinggal dalam Aku, Ia akan terus bertumbuh, berbuah sampai akhirnya berbuah. Seringkali untuk dapat bertumbuh dan berbuah, kita perlu membiarkan aspek-aspek hidup tertentu dari hidup kita dibersihkan dan dimurnikan. Oleh karena itu, Yesus mengatakan Tuhan menyingkirkan bagian-bagian tertentu dari cabang pohon yang tidak menghasilkan buah. Tuhan Allah adalah Allah kesempatan yang memberikan kepada kita kesempatan pertama, kesempatan kedua, kesempatan ketiga dan sekian banyak kesempatan untuk senantiasa menyempurnakan diri, memperbaiki diri dan melihat secara tulus, jujur dan mendalam apa saja aspek-aspek kehidupan pribadi yang perlu dibenahi, dikoreksi dan dikritisi.

                        Selanjutnya Yesus juga mengingatkan bahwa seperti cabang terpisah dari pohon akan mati, demikian juga jika kita terpisah dari Yesus akan mati. Kita semua yang percaya kepada Yesus mesti pula mengikatkan diri kita kepada Yesus. Langkah awal untuk percaya total kepada Yesus adalah sebuah permulaan yang baik. Berjalan bersama Yesu bukan tanpa tantangan. Seringkali angin topan kehidupan dan prahara datang silih berganti. Namun semakin kita tertanam pada Yesus, semakin kuat badai kehidupan, semakin kita kuat dalam Dia.

                        Kesatuan dengan Yesus juga tampak dalam seluruh aspek kehidupan kita. Kesatuan itu berarti apa yang Yesus pikirkan, itulah juga yang kita pikirkan. Apa yang Yesus hidupi, itulah juga yang kita hidupi. Apa yang Yesus cintai, itulah juga yang kita cintai. Paus Fransiskus bilang Tuhan itu cinta dan belas kasihan bukan teologi yang rumit. Ini tidak berarti bahwa belajar filsafat dan teologi tidak penting. Namun semoga ilmu filsafat, agama dan teologi yang memperkaya pikiran kita, semakin membawa hati kita kepada cinta dan belas kasihan, membawa kita kepada rahmat yang adalah esensi terdalam dari Allah itu sendiri. Pengikut Kristus adalah mereka yang menerima Kristus dengan gembira dan mengabarkan Kristus itu pula dengan gembira, dengan cinta, dengan belas kasihan. Mencintai Allah secara mendalam mestilah pula berarti berbelaskasihan kepada sesama secara benar dan mendalam.

Gospel

Jn 15:1-8

. A reading from the holy Gospel according to John

Jesus said to his disciples: “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit,  and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.

You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you. Remain in me, as I remain in you.

Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own  unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine, you are the branches.

Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit,  because without me you can do nothing.

Anyone who does not remain in me  will be thrown out like a branch and wither;  people will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you,   ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. By this is my Father glorified,  that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.”

                        Whoever dwells in Me, He will continue to grow, flourish and finally bears fruit. Often in order to grow and bear fruit, we need to let certain aspects of our lives be cleansed and purified. Therefore, Jesus said God removed certain parts of the tree branch that did not bear fruit. God is God of opportunity who grants us the first opportunity, the second opportunity, the third opportunity and so many constantly so that we might perfect ourselves, improve ourselves and see sincerely, honestly and deeply what aspects of personal life that should be corrected, rectified and criticized .

Furthermore, Jesus also reminded that as as a branch separates of a tree, will die, That case also will happen to us if we separate ourselves from Jesus. All of us who believe in Jesus must also bind ourselves to Jesus. The first step to maintain total trust in Jesus is always a good commence. Walking with Jesus is never without challenges. Often the storm of life and tempest come and go. But the more we are planted in Jesus, the stronger the storms of life, the more we are rooted in Him.

Unity with Jesus also appears in all aspects of our lives. That unity means what Jesus thinks, is also what we think. What Jesus lives is what we live. What Jesus loves, that’s also what we love. Pope Francis says God is love and mercy not a complicated theology. This does not mean that learning philosophy and theology is not important. But may the sophisticatedness of philosophy, religion and theology enrich our minds, bring our hearts to be rooted in love and mercy, bring us to the grace which is the deepest essence of God Himself. Followers of Christ are those who receive Christ with joy and preach Christ also with joy, with love, with mercy. To love God deeply must also means to be compassionate to others in a deep and true way.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas, Buenos dias. Hoy es Miercoles,  2 de Mayo 2018 (Dos mil dieciocho) El evangelio tomado de Juan,  Capitulo 14 (catorce): 6-14. Leamos juntos este evangelio

Yo soy la vid verdadera, y Mi Padre es el viñador. 2 Todo sarmiento que en Mí no da fruto, lo quita; y todo el que da fruto, lo poda[a] para que dé más fruto.3 Ustedes ya están limpios por la palabra que les he hablado.

4 Permanezcan en Mí, y Yo en ustedes. Como el sarmiento no puede dar fruto por sí mismo si no permanece en la vid, así tampoco ustedes si no permanecen en Mí. 5 Yo soy la vid, ustedes los sarmientos; el que permanece en Mí y Yo en él, ése da mucho fruto, porque separados de Mí nada pueden hacer. 6 Si alguien no permanece en Mí, es echado fuera como un sarmiento y se seca; y los recogen, los echan al fuego y se queman.

7 Si permanecen en Mí, y Mis palabras permanecen en ustedes, pidan lo que quieran y les será hecho. 8 En esto es glorificado Mi Padre, en que den mucho fruto, y así prueben que son[b] Mis discípulos.

 

Quien habita en Mí, Él continuará creciendo, floreciendo y finalmente dará fruto. A menudo, para crecer y dar fruto, debemos dejar que ciertos aspectos de nuestras vidas sean purificados y purificados. Por lo tanto, Jesús dijo que Dios eliminó ciertas partes de la rama de un árbol que no dieron fruto. Dios es Dios de oportunidad que nos otorga la primera oportunidad, la segunda oportunidad, la tercera oportunidad y tantas otras constantemente para que podamos perfeccionarnos, mejorarnos y ver sinceramente, honesta y profundamente qué aspectos de la vida personal deben corregirse, corregido y criticado.

Además, Jesús también recordó que así como una rama se separa de un árbol, morirá. Ese caso también nos sucederá si nos separamos de Jesús. Todos los que creemos en Jesús también debemos unirnos a Jesús. El primer paso para mantener una confianza total en Jesús es siempre un buen comienzo. Caminar con Jesús nunca está sin desafíos. A menudo, la tormenta de la vida y la tempestad van y vienen. Pero cuanto más sembramos en Jesús, cuanto más fuertes son las tormentas de la vida, más enraizados estamos en Él.

La unidad con Jesús también aparece en todos los aspectos de nuestras vidas. Esa unidad significa lo que Jesús piensa, es también lo que pensamos. Lo que Jesús vive es lo que vivimos. Lo que Jesús ama, eso es también lo que amamos. El Papa Francisco dice que Dios es amor y misericordia, no una teología complicada. Esto no significa que aprender filosofía y teología no sea importante. Pero que la sofisticación de la filosofía, la religión y la teología enriquezcan nuestras mentes, hagan que nuestros corazones se arraiguen en el amor y la misericordia, y que nos lleven a la gracia que es la esencia más profunda de Dios mismo. Los seguidores de Cristo son aquellos que reciben a Cristo con alegría y también predican a Cristo con alegría, con amor, con misericordia. Amar a Dios profundamente también debe significar ser compasivo con los demás de una manera profunda y verdadera. Amen.
